Kaneko
& Iwamatsu was
founded in 1957 by Hajime Kaneko, a former professor of civil procedure
at the University of Tokyo, and Saburo Iwamatsu, former Justice of the
Supreme Court of Japan. Since then, the firm has been offering high-quality
legal services in various legal fields.
The firm concentrates its practice in technical litigation, including intellectual property litigation, product liability litigation, environmental pollution litigation, and medical malpractice litigation, as well as bankruptcy cases and corporate legal matters. Our attorneys served as an instructor of the Legal Training and Research Institute of the Supreme Court of Japan, served as members of several legislative councils such as the Legislative Council of the Ministry of Justice and the Industrial Property Council, and presented lectures in various organizations, including the above Legal Training and Research Institute and Bar Associations. To provide services to corporations engaged in international business, some of our attorneys studied at law schools in the United States and had working experience at leading U.S. law firms.
We will continue to heighten our expertise and provide legal services that match the needs of each client. |
